Deck Builder in Littleton, Colorado

Littleton is home for Scouts Deck Co. We live and work here, so a site visit is a short drive, not a half-day trip. We build new decks and replace tired old ones all over Littleton, from the historic streets near downtown to the neighborhoods out by Chatfield, Columbine and Bow Mar.

Which Littleton are you in?

A Littleton mailing address can mean the City of Littleton, unincorporated Jefferson County, or parts of Arapahoe or Douglas County. Each one has its own building department and its own permit rules. Many homes in the 80123, 80127 and 80128 zip codes are actually in unincorporated Jeffco. We check your parcel first, then handle the drawings and permits with whichever office covers you.

Near the foothills? Check the wildfire map

West Littleton backs right up to the hogback, Chatfield and Deer Creek open space. Some of those homes fall inside Jefferson County's wildfire zone, and a new deck there may need fire-rated decking and ignition-resistant framing. We check the map before we design so the plan you approve is the plan that passes review. See our WUI deck page.

Replacing a 1970s–90s deck

Plenty of Littleton homes still have their original wood decks: soft boards, wobbly railings and ledgers that wouldn't pass today's code. We'll tell you straight whether yours can be resurfaced or should be rebuilt. If you rebuild, a steel or LVL frame means you won't be doing it again. See Forever Frame steel decks.

HOA approval, handled

If your neighborhood has architectural review, we put together the drawings, colors and material specs the HOA needs so your project doesn't stall waiting on approval.
