Deck Builder in Evergreen, Colorado
Evergreen lots don't make deck building easy. Many of them are steep, so the deck ends up 10 feet or more above grade. They get real snow, and almost all of them sit inside Jefferson County's wildfire zone. That's the kind of deck we build most often. We work in Evergreen, Kittredge, Genesee and Bergen Park.
Built for the wildfire code
Most of Evergreen is unincorporated Jefferson County, so your deck permit goes through Jeffco and its wildfire resiliency rules. We design with Class A fire-rated decking and noncombustible steel framing from the start, so you're not paying for a redesign after plan review. Steel also handles the moisture swings up here without warping or rotting. See Forever Frame steel decks.
Tall decks, done right
A second-story deck on a hillside comes down to footings, bracing and stairs. We size footings below the 36-inch frost line and engineer the posts and beams for the height. Our steel stairs won't rot where they meet the ground. If a project needs an engineer's stamp, we arrange it.
Replacing an old wood deck?
Plenty of Evergreen homes still have their original 1980s or 1990s wood decks. If yours has soft boards, a sagging ledger or wobbly posts, we can tell you whether the framing is worth saving or whether it's time to replace it. Either way, you'll get a straight answer.
